I am about to destroy your favourite song off "Lost In Translation"

I know quite a number of people who watched Lost In Translation and really liked the soundtrack as well. Halcyonrealms noticed that most Japanese don't really like the movie.

Most of the people who liked the soundtrack would like Jesus And The Mary Chain's Just Like Honey.

But most people don't pay attention to lyrics. "I just like the sound of it, it's so romantic."

I first came across Jesus And The Mary Chain in The Crow soundtrack. They provided one track - Snakerider. The first line is absolute hilarious.
I've got syphilitic hetero friends in every part of town. I don't hate them but I know them. I don't want them hanging around.

I definitely thought it was odd for them to have a "romantic" song. After listening to it closely ( because in the cinema, all I heard was "Just like honeeeeeey ee ee......"), I just couldn't believe what I'm hearing. I sorta had that same feeling when I first heard Bjork's Cocoon. Yes, Cocoon is about sex, how else do you explain the lyrics. Don't pretend.

So if you read the lyrics of "Just Like Honey":

Listen to the girl
As she takes on half the world
Moving up and so alive
In her honey dripping beehive
Beehive
Its good, so good, its so good
So good

So she's making sound of pleasure, and moving up after giving an head. The guy is the other half od the world of course. Her beehive is her "ahem" and her honey....well....

Walking back to you
Is the hardest thing that
I can do
That I can do for you
For you

After making sexy time, she asked for a favour in return. Going back down on her is the hardest thing for the guy to do.

I'll be your plastic toy
I'll be your plastic toy
For you

But the guy is willing to be her plastic toy. Duh....dildo lah. The pleasure being all hers. Why? You think dildos enjoy being dildos? Ok, don't answer that.

Eating up the scum
Is the hardest thing for
Me to do

Don't be mistaken. Scum is not metaphorical. It is what you think it is. Always use protection. Oral contraceptives will not let you overcome this problem.

Clear now? Crystal?

The film opened with a close up of Charlotte's butt, and closed with the song as Bill took a taxi home. We all know why.

strangely...i 1st noticed the band in California Man (or Encino Man)...'Why'd You Want Me' by Jesus And Mary Chain - Brendan Fraser looking sadly out the car as he was been taken away when Sean Austin felt he couldn't take care of him anymore.

I think i bought the OST on cassette! (no CD then) just becoz of that song!

wow....so Jesus And Mary Chain seems to be a OST group... people seem to know them through OSTs. I'm not sure I have many friends who have their albums....
