The next time you are gathered....

It's important to note some stuff when you're trying to impress your bird about your wonderful wisdom in movie trivia and comic adaptations.

Previously I was talking about the whole Spiderman 3 thing about Venom......well, I suppose before that I could've been talking about the X-Men Phoenix Saga.....but comic adaptations are not always accurate....

Anyway....remember when we were younger there was this cartoon series called Spider-man and his Amazng Friends? Namely Iceman and Firestar.

Ok, the Silver Surfer in the new Fantastic Four IS NOT Iceman. Iceman is a mutant (ie. from X-Men). SIlver Surfer is a "slave with divine powers" controlled by this freak of the universe named Galactus. He was mainly featured as part of the Fantastic Four in the cartoon series. Although he is the main bad guy in the upcoming FF movie, he is suppose to find his "humanity" and thereafter be exiled to Earth (which was initially to be consumed by Galactus).

So if your bird starts asking you about things like "How come got Iceman?", calmly tell her that Silver Surfer is from the cosmos while Iceman is a mutant. They are different.

And if she starts tugging you and ask questions like "How come Silver Surfer is 坏蛋 (bad egg)?", your standard reply should be that the Silver Surfer, as a being of the cosmos is unaware of concepts of good and evil. He obeys only Galactus.

But if she starts asking questions like "Silver Surfer 会不会 change 好人?", that's when you stamp your feet down and ask her to watch the god damn movie to find out.
