I remember donkey kong years ago....when X'ho just legalised his X from Chris and when he had a programme on Perfect 10 called Hip Parade - Now Sound Of The Future.....that was where I first heard Lamb and their fantastic Gorecki which was featured prominently on his Ear Wax chart. Ear Wax was like his top ten chart...

I first heard of Kruder and Dorfmeister, Fila Brasilia, Thievery Corporation, Underwolves, Jhelisa, Boymerang, Two Lone Swordsmen, Andrew Weatherall....the whole bachelor pad sound movement and the advent of drum and bass, jungle....His one hour show was always educational.

And he featured local music as well. Concave Scream and Humpback Oak, later Livonia, Boredphunks (now with higher gig prices that NYC supposedly may not afford and renamed as The Suns)....

Pain-Stained Morning and Ghostfather by Humpback Oak was featured extensively during that time. I found the track off Joe Ng's blog (again....his is a treasure trove)...No Finer Time To Be Alive.
