Random list: Top ten album titles

I figured might as well just get it out of my system:

My top ten (without much thought put into it) album titles:

1. Bricolage - Amon Tobin
The title just tells you how Amon Tobin aka Cujo makes his music

2. The Film's Crap, Let's Slash The Seats - David Holmes
Before he was famous, before his soundtracks for Ocean's 11, David Holmes was a darling of X'ho on his Hit Parade radio programme on Perfect 10. I can roughly remember X'ho saying that the title was actually what thugs in Hong Kong would do, if the film's crap. This cannot be verified.

3. Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness - Smashing Pumpkins
I like word play. Hence when I saw the name Mellon Collie, I thought it was the smartest thing then. Ranked next to sliced bread.

4. Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like A Peasant - Belle And Sebastian
This is one of the many great titles that Belle And Sebastian consistently come up with. Others include: If You're Feeling Sinister, The Boy With The Arab Strap....

5. Yourself Or Someone Like You - Matchbox 20
There must have been a point in time, after your the first breakup when you really wished hadn't happen, and you tell yourself that you wanna tell whoever that the next girl/boy will be like the one before. Or is that just me?

6. 76:14 - Global Communications
This is not some avant garde John Cage 4:33. It's actually the album's total running time. Half Tom Middleton and half Mark Pritchard, the tracks are simply titled by their running time as well. Ambient conceptual records were so out of this world at 10 years ago. There are ten tracks in all:
4:02
14:31
9:25
9:39
7:39
0:54
8:07
5:23
4:14
12:18
There's a expanded edition that was just released late last month. I might just get it this time.

7. Everything I Touch Runs Wild - Lori Carson
That's what she meant. Album full of torch songs/ballads, and she blames no one else but herself.

8. Let No One Live Rent Free In Your Head - Nicolette
She sessions for Massive Attack during the Protection album phase and thereafter released this gem of an album with a title that reminds me till now not to have it happen to me. Easier said than done.

9. Vespertine - Björk
Before this album appeared, imagine saying this word. Do you think anyone will tell you what it meant? Even now not many people know the meaning of Vespertine. Vesper has Latin roots. It means belonging to evening. Occurring, relating to the evening. Active, flowering or flourishing in the evening...and that's what the album does to you.

10. Our Endless Numbered Days - Iron And Wine
Sounds weirdly true in some warped sense doesn't it?

Ok, this list is likely to grow....and even at present, I cannot recall all the great album titles....but will suffice for now..
