Hawes
I remember leading a walk to Hawes when one of the English walkers was telling us about Wallace and Gromit. Now he is one of those typical dark rimmed types whose only tan is gotten from his computer screen.
Hence we kinda ignored him.
He is right of course,
Hawes is where Wensleydale is,
which is where Wensleydale Creamery is.
Which makes the favouritest cheese of Wallace and Gromit.
The new stop-motion movie is coming out real soon. Can't wait. It didn't occur to me that the Corpse Bride was stop-motion as well! That means that plasticine figures had to be thumbed, twisted, pressed, tweaked, tinkered 24 times just to produce 1 tiny second on the movie screen. The Corpse Bride was 76 minutes which means a staggering 109440 frames - all by hand! Wallace and Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit is 85 minutes which translates to a total of 122400 handmade frames. Labour intensive. The CG-aided cartoons are like fast cars, stop-motion pieces are like antique bentleys.
Can't wait for the movie to come out. Check out the movie website, funny in a rather English way. Something wicked this way hops....
Helena Bonham Carter is lending her voice talents for this show again, just like Corpse Bride. A number of British actors/actresses as well.
