Paul Oakenfold at Zouk
He doesn't seem to have the same pulling power as before. I remember him coming to Zouk about 6 years or more ago. And that was pack from sometime before midnight.
but tonight, the crowds only started coming in around midnight or so.
Or maybe it's pointing to a general trend. That Singaporeans are starting their parties later.
He's dropping tracks that are so much harder as well. But then again, maybe it's cause he is just following the general trend as well. Music may be pumping harder these days.
Enjoyed myself more at Velvet. Or as the ah beng who sounded like he is from the north would say, vee-vat. He managed to say underground correctly though. House music that don't go beyond 120 bpm. Lots of piano, like Italian house, and some Bossa influenced house. Haha, what do I know?
I think paying that little bit of extra to have something that is consistent to fall back on is keeping it safe.
