Freedom and it's derivatives
Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States of America said, "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance".
Janis Jolin, who was only 27 when she died, one of the most influential female rock singer-songwriters in the 1960s, sang in her song Me & Bobby McGee that, "Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose".
Often we understand freedom as having the power to do anything that we want. We don't exactly know how to get it. Some say moving to America helps. Others say you can never get it in a society. Some say it's only a state of mind. Other says you can find it in religion.
Wouldn't having a prescribed notion of freedom be an oxymoron?
