Doctor:Ya, you're right. That's definitely a wart. You can be a doctor. Skin doctor.

Me: The doctor at SAFTI said it might be fungal in nature. So he gave me some topical cream. Mycoban Topical Anti-fungal Cream.

Doctor: Won't work.

Me: Ya, that was about 3 months ago.

Doctor: It's been so long?

Me: I have had it for more than a year, probably.

Doctor: No wonder. It's quite big. Typically it shouldn't be more than 5mm. Yours is almost a cm.

Me: So is it contagious?

Doctor: Ya, very. If you touch it, don't touch anywhere else that might be traumatised. It'll spread. Your children might get it too.

Me: *nods* (with raised eyebrows, not sceptical but to tell him I'm not a father)

Doctor: It needs to be removed by laser or liquid nitrogen.

Me: Sure.

Doctor: Try not to touch it. It might spread to your fingers. And worse if it spread to your penis. You'll have a hard time explaining.
