Playlist for Change-of-Command Ceremony
I hate boring music. Even Muzak needs to be interesting otherwise I condemn whatever is piped through the PA.
I've been to too many ceremonies (opening, closing, workplan this and workplan that, seminar this and that and etc etc) where they invariably play some New Age bullshit, something by Kitaro, Kenny G, Kevin Kern, Enya, Richard Clayderman blah blah banal banal...
I don't think putting together a great set to function as "background music" is worth much. Because, nobody notices. But those who do, when they realise how different it sounds, it's a fantastic feeling. It's like a silent code enjoyed by two.
So this is the playlist for tomorrow:
Angelica by Lamb
Heaven by Lamb
Northern Lights by Lux
Suzuki by Tosca
Ballet Lane by Underworld
Breathe by Telepopmusik
An Ordinary Day by Bent
Papua New Guinea (Graham Massey Mix) by The Future Sound Of London
Vegw by Paul Van Dyk
Christina by Mr Hermano
It's ten tracks clocking in at just over 47 minutes.
I'm anal like that.
