Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want

Good times for a change
See, the luck I've had
Can make a good man
Turn bad

So for once in my life
Let me get what I want
Lord knows, it would be the first time

Cameron Highlands - another preview

Okie okie.....auntie's photoshopped version of the previous photo (taken from Boh Tea Plantation Tea Cafe).

Click (on the photo), download and use as wallpaper. It's really nice! Okie okie....maybe not for you...

Puma Puma *whisper*

I knew that resistance was futile.

But still I tried.

I caved in today.Yes, there is really a pair of shoes here...

My last pair of Pumas were "Don Jon". A white leather shoe with perforations. They look a little too dandy. But, I don't mind it one bit. I have not been taking good care of it, so they are starting to tarnish/fade/yellow.... Sians....

Anyway, the story behind my new pair of Pumas goes like this:

Puma held a design competition at Central Saint Martins. This pair won third prize. It's called the CSM (Central Saint Martins) Type 2, a reworking of the original Tatau Mid L. There is an alternate version of the CSM Type 2 which does not have hooks but eyelets instead. What I have been told is that only the Vivo branch carries this. But I am sure the salesperson was not certain and sneaker shops in town must have this range as well as will other Puma stores (Marina Sq).

The designer is Jesper Borjesson from Sweden. Scandinavian design is always so alluring.... clean lines, just the right material, simple but with adequate details. Deserves a closer look.....

I like how Puma pays attention to their whole packaging. I'm a sucker for details and thoughts.

See closer......

Hahahaha.....

The colour is "whisper white".....auntie don't laugh!

PMS !!!

Lulu seems to be getter livelier. Mum's gonna send her for spaying real soon. Of course, Lulu will not have a choice. Which is a real sad thing. But, inevitable? I dunno. I've been teasing mum if she did ask Lulu if she wanted any "little lulus". I'm not sure if it is cruel or anything. For all I know, there may be girls out there (humans) who don't mind stopping their menses permanently just cause they don't wanna get PMS.

Hmmmm.........???(says Lulu)

The trio of pics above shows a Lulu that is coping better with her hormonal mix-up. Please ignore my mum's legs.

I hope Lulu really don't mind getting spayed. Not that she gets a choice or can voice her opinion. It's tough isn't it? What if I wake up in the middle of the night wondering if she wants to have babies?

Drats!

PMS !!

By observing Lulu, I made a few conclusions about females and PMS...

a) they still get hungry. in fact, they get hungrier, faster.

b) they still enjoy getting their daily dosage of outdoor walks.

c) i bet if dogs enjoy window shopping, they will window shop and buy when they PMS.

d) dogs can't eat chocolate. even when they PMS.

e) cuddles are still a very much needed. even more so now perhaps.

f) they tend to be more lethargic.

g) they appear a little bloated. maybe she is just looking more "zoftig humidity".

h) the family still loves her very much.

Cameron Highlands - preview

Not having a stretch of time at will for blogging can be a good or bad thing.

But......for all of you, I shall upload a few pics. Mind you, they are huge files and will take forever to load. All are not cropped and no colour adjustment yet...auntie has a nicer version of the 2nd pic with a slightly more vibrant green.

Hope the week will be great for you peeps!

Ok, I hope nobody's gonna say, "Wtf/wth? You went to Cameron Highlands and the only pictures you took were of trees and radio-antenna pylons?"

PMS

Just back from Cameron Highlands....more on the trip later.

Found a hormonally imbalanced lulu in the kitchen....poor girl. She's having her first "heat"....leaving little dabs of blood all over the kitchen floor.

She looks confused and a little sad. =(

Cameron Highlands

Going to the land of the "Umph!" this weekend!

Be back with pigtures

was in town

"Everytime I meet a girl who can cook like my mother ... she looks like my father."

joined my brother for a look-see at the preview of the LV new season launch.

it was held at the nac - ngee ann city branch.

didn't bring camera along and was quite glad i didn't.

stopped by starbucks cause we were a little early.

"My wife went to the beauty shop and got a mud pack. For two days she looked beautiful. Then the mud fell off."

they served dom perignon! haha...bro was right that the first flute tasted a little off-ish...perhaps it was left out in the open for too long. second helpings are always welcomed and almost always nicer.

it was a private event and bro was invited. so he brought me along as "friend".

new range of bags really wasn't my cuppa tea.....monogram jokes range (I have put some of the "jokes" in quotes here)....even if Agyness Deyn carries one.... this limited edition range as designed by Richard Prince (- has a website), hmmm....I think it will still sell......

some interesting non-bags stuff though ..... LV has their own exclusive selvage denim! Made in Italy. cool!

"I have been married for thirty years and I am still in love with the same woman. If my wife ever finds out, she will kill me."

A song a day 80

I'm not gonna lie - saying, "Everyone will be alright and fine until we die."

What else can you do?
But hope and pray and say that, "We'll get by! =)"

Be prepared to be surprised. Better be prepared to be surprised.
Baby, you got to be prepared to be surprised.

It's all I know

littlefish does KL

Sitting at a Starbucks opposite Berjaya Times Square.

Just finished meeting banker and finishing up some preliminary paperwork....

The free wifi in KL is super fast.

Not enough time

Sheesh......no time to talk about The Bird And The Bee as well as tonight's Sondre Lerche & The Faces Down....Mosaic Music Festival is good lah. (Sondre finished with Maybe You're Gone and saw a lady with her eyes completely wet with tears....)

Also had dinner with xiaomeinu....after walking half the orchard stretch looking for a wallet..(purse actually)..... I had dinner at Wheelock for two nights in a row....

Leaving for KL in a few hours....need sleep. Joining auntie who's already there.....need to finalise some paper work..

Onitsuka x Edwin

It appears that Onitsuka and Edwin are collaborating on a pair of jeans. (Following the footsteps of Puma x Evisu and Adidas x Diesel)....

Question is....although the denim is decidedly "Made In Japan", are they selvage?

THIS IS A LOW
BUT IT WON'T HURT YOU

When AssTee got wind that the local dominant political party was worried about the coming elections and wanted to discredit their opponents by stooping to a new low, their headline reads:

Sweetness follows

No. She never quite liked coffee.

The dark liquid did little to hide its vile taste.

Even with milk. The colour was odd.

"The sweetness follows." She hears her friends say. But only after they had drop copious spoonfuls of sugar into the tiny receptacle. A quick stir and an absentminded gulp. The taste barely registered. Swilling in their mouths just long enough to savour the sugary sweetness at the tip of the tongue.

Never allowing the contents to reach too far back. Not warranted. The coffee barely made its way through the mouth and will only tickle the tonsil, if at all, before going down the gullet.

To her, coffee did serve a purpose - keeping her awake on days where she felt particularly lethargic. One doesn't really actually need to like coffee in order to feel the effects.

No. She never likhed coffee. Much preferred tea.

But she drinks it anyway.

Mosaic Music Festival Presents Broken Social Scene

and I hope the rumors will break your fall
guess it's gonna be love for the fucked up kid

No Feist. But we live.

Finally got the chance to see them live after enjoying so many of their tracks. Not the biggest of fan but it was enjoyable nonetheless. got auntie to go with me since mong had to make it for her daddy's birthday dinner.

I am really glad that finally the concert-goers start getting off their butts and enjoy themselves. The ushers had difficulty trying to get people to keep their cameras and I think nobody got stopped once the concert started.

Their take on Lover's Spit (which alot of people were screaming for) held everybody in rapture. The whole concert hall just fell into a quiet hush.
It was surreal.

No encores, no need for that. Because they played their hearts out for more than 2 hours. Still have The Bird & The Bee and Sondre Lerche to look forward to this coming week. Woots! Totally like Mosaic Music Festival.

Skipped the autograph session, ate dinner at lousy Gluttons' Square. Met Saiful (Great Spy Experiment) but missed his gig which was at the entrance foyer at 9pm.

Past mosaic attendances. KoC. J. Gonzales. and R. Yamagata.
ah shit, guess I'm in love with the fucked up kid

Shure SCL2

I jumped ship!

Shure SCL2

I am so sorry to Ivan from Norman Audio....cause Shure earphones are brought in by Ban Leong (somewhere in un-atas Ubi Ave 4 instead of assured atas-ness of Adelphi).

At $280 each, my ER6i was costing me way too much. I am already in my third pair because each lasted me for 6 months or so. Even though Ivan was kind enough to give me a half price "existing customer" price, it's still $140 half-yearly.

And the price difference is obvious.

Sound isolation is passive in the SCL2, just like ER6i. Both do it quite well. Although I will give the Shures a little bit more points in insulating ambient noise and comfort. Additionally, there seems to be less "thudding" due to the sound isolation. This thudding can be rather noisy when running and the cables are moving alot.

But the entry level SCL2 cannot beat ER6i in terms of sound quality. It's muddier. The bass is "stronger" but not punchy. The trebles are out of control. And it's just not as polished as Etymotics. I do complain about Etymotics sterile sound (flat or "how the producer wanted it to be heard) and lack of soundstage.

But at an "IT Show 2008" price of $99, the SCL2 is good enough. I realised that I really appreciate being able to shunt the world out when I am commuting. I was totally distracted when I switched to the normal Creative earphones.

It's a cheap thrill, but I like seeing my mum open and close her mouth in speech but I cannot actually hear her.

Wachowski!?

What were the Wachowski brothers thinking of when they casted Rain (the Korean "pop" sensation aka "I like black - Heads N Shoulders") in their upcoming Japanese anime adapted movie "Speed Racer"?

So weird not to be angry about things

Imagine you are sleeping in your cosy hdb 4-room apartment. outside along the corridor hangs your laundry. down the shorter end of this corridor is the lift lobby. the lifts, after the recent upgrading by the government, stops at every level.

it's about 4:38am. you wake up with a start because there was a loud explosion that sounded like its from next door. heck. it is from the next door. your neighbours, a family of five including 3 children ranging from 3 to 8 probably heard the last explosion of their lives.

so who the hell allowed the US government to fire "precision missiles" into a village in southern Somalia? it's like a misnomer; precision missiles but killed 3 women and 3 children, injuring another 20. what killed them is an oxymoron called "military intelligence", US of A style.
